What Changes Between A1 and A2 Level?

A1 vocabulary names things - greetings, numbers, family members. A2 vocabulary does things with them: giving directions, making appointments, shopping, traveling, and talking about the past. The shift is from naming the world to acting in it.

How Long A2 Vocabulary Takes to Learn?

Going from A1's roughly 650 words to A2's 1,300 means learning about 650 new words. At a steady 10 new words a day, that takes roughly three months - which matches how long most A2 courses actually run.
